Abn Amro World Tennis Tournament

This is one of the biggest world tennis tournaments around. The matches are played in Ahoy Rotterdam (Metro exit Zuidplein). Watch games with the world's best tennis players.

Rotterdamse Museumnacht (ENG: Rotterdam Museum Night)

Museums and art galleries present themselves in a totally different way by opening their doors from 8pm until 2am. Wander around and discover Rotterdam’s art treasures through performances, concerts, workshops and guided tours. 44 Museums and art galleries participated in last years edition. April 11

Marathon Rotterdam

This is the world's flattest marathon to run and that’s why it’s so popular among runners. The kick off is the 2nd Sunday of the month at 11am on the Coolsingel. The day starts with the 'you never walk alone' song and off they go! Sixty different nationalities participating in this 42 kilometer run.

Queensday

Queens Day The Dutch celebrate their Queen's birthday, or at least her mother's, on the 30th of April and turn it into one big orange street party. The night before Queens Day, April 29th , Dutchies celebrate in full extent Queen's Night! Everywhere around town there are parties going on. Sleep a couple hours, then dress yourself up in orange and visit the flea markets, open air concerts and parties everywhere across town.

May 5

Liberation Day

Liberation Day Festival Every year at 8pm on May 4th we hold 2 minutes of silence to remember WWII. The day after we celebrate the liberation of the Netherlands. Pop concerts in Rotterdam and throughout the country form a voice against war. Go to the stage close to the Erasmusbrug.
